General Motors Restructures Global Markets

General Motors announced it is restructuring its global business, closing markets in several countries.

GM is looking to move away from unprofitable markets, starting with Australia, New Zealand and selling its plant in Thailand. The company announced it would reduce production and sales for its Holden brand in Australia and New Zealand, and looks to focus on its more profitable high-end line.

With this restructuring plan, GM looks to adjust and focus on the more profitable markets, which will generate more revenue and drive growth.
