On Tuesday morning Senator Rand Paul announced that he has recovered from coronavirus after testing positive last month.
In his statement, he also said that he has started volunteering at a local Kentucky hospital to help those who are in need of medical help, including COVID-19 patients. Since Senator Rand Paul had a partial lung removal last year his doctors decided it was best to take a test out of an abundance of caution, despite not having symptoms.
Senator Paul was the first U.S. Senator to test positive for the virus after attending an event with two others who tested positive for the virus.
