Republican Lawmakers Address Climate Change

On Wednesday, Republican lawmakers proposed a bill to address climate change through solutions that will cut out carbon emissions in the air.

The proposed legislation seeks to address the carbon emissions in the air by planting trees, that will absorb carbon emissions in the air, instead of completely eliminating fossil fuels, which are considered the largest carbon emitters and drivers of climate change.

Some environmentalists claim that natural carbon removal, such as mass tree planting, could reduce between 180 to 360 million tons of carbon dioxide each year, through 2040 [Reuters].

The proposed legislation aims to plant a trillion trees by 2050, as a natural solution to carbon absorption
